History of the YPAB

YPAB co-founders Zach Boisi and Eric Vital had a vision to make a difference by tapping into the talent and energy of New York's young professionals. In 2004, they founded the Young Professionals Advisory Board (YPAB) with the goal of enhancing the impact of mentoring initiatives across the state.

The YPAB formerly organized the fundraising event, The Luke Boisi Memorial Benefit, and today plays an integral part in the annual MENTOR of the Year Awards.

Civic Leaders Program

We believe emerging civic leaders have the power to shape the priorities of tomorrow. That's why we designed the Civic Leaders Program for YPAB members to develop their skills and knowledge in the philanthropic space.

Join the YPAB to receive the following benefits:

  • Expand your network and build social capital

  • Develop your fundraising and philanthropic skills

  • Support and grow the Mentoring Movement in New York

  • Gain a civic leader mentor from MENTOR New York's Board of Directors

Each member of the YPAB is connected with a Civic Mentor. Mentors are accomplished professionals and philanthropists from a variety of backgrounds who serve on MENTOR New York’s Board of Directors. 2022 mentors included:
