MENTOR New York is currently seeking talented applicants for the following position(s):

Projects and Special Events Manager

The Project and Special Events Manager position will report to the Director of Public/Private Ventures with support from Marketing and Communications Manager. This position provides direct-line support to meet the organization’s fundraising strategy through events. It will coordinate all annual fund-raising events for New York, Long Island and upstate. The position will also provide project and event management for all major initiatives that take a level of cross-functional execution to be successful. This position will interface closely with the Program Development and Training Team to ensure that major milestones are met, and key logistics are executed with excellence and in a timely fashion... Associate Director of Partnership Development and Engagement

The Associate Director of Partnership Development and Engagement will be responsible for ensuring high quality partnerships are developed and high touch relationship management with mentoring and youth development programs around the state is consistently happening. They will focus on stewardship of existing relationships and development of new relationships with programs. They will assist in building the MENTOR New York Hub online forum and oversee content and management. The Associate Director will create program opportunities and engagement opportunities for our network of 800+ active programs, including round-tables, training sessions, webinars and expert panels. They will provide outreach to programs in the New York City area to deepen our relationships with communities downstate, as well as research communities in Western, Central and Upstate New York. Digital Content Intern (Winter 2020)

MENTOR New York is seeking a versatile, hard-working, and talented intern who will apply their passion for digital media to amplify our mission and brand! As the Digital Content Intern you will:

  • Execute all steps involved in creating bi-weekly articles/blog posts including researching topics, collaborating and/or interviewing staff and program partners, writing the articles and creating additional collateral (i.e. promotional social media posts, video accompaniment, etc.). 

  • Utilize social media best practices to plan and create content to post across MENTOR NY’s social platforms.

  • Assist with other digital media activities to further MENTOR NY’s digital marketing strategy including but not limited to updating the website, creating email blasts, creating marketing collateral and recording and editing video content.
