Women Around the World to Be Recognized During Virtual Event
NEW YORK, NEW YORK – October 2, 2020 – Brenda Jimenez has been named the winner of four Stevie® Awards in the 17th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business including two silver awards and two bronze awards.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the companies they run– worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards.
More than 1,500 entries were submitted this year for consideration in more than 100 categories, including Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women Run Workplace of the Year.

Silver Stevie Award for Female Innovator of the Year – Government or Non-Profit –10 or Less Employees
Silver Stevie Award for Woman of the Year - Government or Non-Profit
Bronze Stevie Award for Female Executive of the Year – Government or NonProfit –10 or Less Employees
Bronze Stevie Award for Most Innovative Woman of the Year - Government or Non-Profit
Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 180 business professionals around the world, working on seven juries.
“Brenda Jimenez is taking MENTOR to a whole new level, successfully pivoting to remote/virtual mentoring support during the unprecedented times,” said one Stevie Awards judge in their comments for the Female Innovator of the Year. “Her impactful work has ensured that an additional 35,000 children across the state are engaged in mentoring relationships during a time when they may not have other adequate support networks.”
Brenda Jimenez joined MENTOR New York six years ago as the Director of Operations and Growth Strategies. In that time, her efforts have resulted in raising an additional 2.3 million dollars, expanding staff capacity and efficiencies, and developing quality controls and processes that support the organization’s sustainability. She developed a clear tactical growth strategy that has resulted in the organization successfully deepening its services within NYC and Long Island while expanding services into Upstate NY. She was appointed CEO of MENTOR New York in December of 2019.
